There's a difference between who he really is and what he allows others to see.

There are people important to me who, inexplicably, care about him. I don't want to vote for him if I don't have to. I just don't see another option, yet. I thought you might have some insight that I don't.

Do I think he is capable? Yes, but I also think any one of us vampires would be capable. The truth may be easier to discern from the finer details.

People close to him that I trust say he doesn't have any superhuman abilities to make that more likely.
